Organic Africa Chocolate is an initiative led by social entrepreneur Sergio Codonyer. This project works with rural communities in Sierra Leone to cultivate organic cocoa, improve their quality of life, and empower local farmers.
When the family behind Mas Salagros discovered the project, they were deeply inspired by its positive social and environmental impact. They chose to support Organic Africa Chocolate as part of their commitment to sustainability and responsible development.
The cocoa, carefully grown and classified as Diamond One, is transported directly to the artisanal production facility in Barcelona. There, it is blended with superfoods and naturally sweetened with dates, without added sugar. This process preserves the cocoa’s nutritional properties and unique flavor.
To produce clean chocolate, it is essential to cultivate clean cocoa in Africa. This process not only supports the well-being of communities and the environment but also helps children by giving them the opportunity to attend school. The cocoa is grown naturally and sustainably, then roasted at low temperatures without added chemicals, preservatives, or sugars. Only superfoods are added, creating pure chocolate – a healthy pleasure that supports both health and the planet.
